Coast Fest, run by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, is Georgia's largest celebration of our state's coastal natural resources. The 25th edition of this annual event will take place on Saturday, October 5th from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. More than 70 interactive environmental, educational, and resource organizations will offer visitors a chance to learn about Georgia's coastal resources and have some fun at the same time.
This year the festival takes place in Mary Ross Waterfront Park in Brunswick, so we will not be able to do our usual exhibit along the nature trail. However, the DNR generously offered us space for a booth at the festival.
What do we need? Your photos! Although we can’t sell our work at the event (no vending is allowed by anyone), we can show off our talented members’ work and spread the word about our guild. Members are welcome to submit one piece each for display at the show. Photos should showcase the ecology or culture of the coastal Georgia environment. Get the details for submission and other requirements here.
